Component Video Output. Connects to a TV or A/V system.
Component Video provides a high-definition picture using a
Component Video cable. A separate connection is required
for audio; you can use the included Left/Rigt audio cables
(the white and red connectors) or another audio cable.
Composite Video Output. Connects to a TV, VCR, DVD
recorder, or A/V system. Composite Video (yellow connector)
provides very good standard definition picture quality. It does
not provide high-definition video. It is used with the Left/
Right Audio cables (the white and red connectors).
Left/Right Audio Outputs. Connects to a TV, VCR, DVD
recorder, or A/V system. Connect the Left/Right Audio cables
(the white and red connectors) to these jacks for analog
stereo sound.
Resolution. If your screen is black and you can’t get to the
TiVo menus, press the Resolution button to cycle through
video output formats. See Video output formats for more
information.
HDMI
®
port. Connects to a TV, A/V receiver, or home theater
system. The HDMI port provides a pure digital connection for
high-definition video and digital audio all in one cable.
External Storage. For TiVo-verified external hard drive.
USB.
CableCARD. Slot for one multi-stream CableCARD™
decoder. Once your multi-stream CableCARD decoder is
installed, you should not remove it for any reason.
