SFX 5.1 manual AW.qxd:Layout 1 18/9/07 12:12 Page 6 Connecting the subwoofer to your system The SFX5.1 system subwoofer may be connected in any one of the following ways: Line levels • Using the subwoofer output on your A/V receiver or decoder connect a single RCA interconnect to either the left or right line input on the subwoofer rear panel. This is the ideal connection type as the sub woofer output contains the low frequency information from all channels.

Set to AUTO, the unit remains switched off until a signal is present (power saving), set to ON the unit runs continuously. Connect the SFX subwoofer to a convenient mains socket using the lead and Positioning plug supplied. As the SFX subwoofer produces low frequencies only, it is difficult to detect its location by ear.
