5. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this could place undue stress
on the cord where it enters the appliance and cause it to fray and break.
DO NOT OPERATE APPLIANCE IF THE LINE CORD SHOWS ANY DAMAGE, OR IF
APPLIANCE WORKS INTERMITTENTLY OR STOPS WORKING ENTIRELY.
IMPORTANT
During the rst few minutes of initial use, you may notice smoke and/or a slight odor.
This is normal and should quickly disappear. It will not recur after appliance has been
used a few more times.
USING YOUR CAN OPENER
1. Raise Lever, place arm under the guide bar and against the geared wheel.
2. Press down on lever to pierce lid of can. This automatically starts the cutting action.
The can opener will continue to cut until the lid is completely severed from the can.
3. Grasp the can, then raise the lever to release the can.
4. Carefully slide the lid away from the magnet, using caution to avoid being injured by
the sharp edge of the lid. NOTE: Can opener should be turned off for one minute
after operating for 5 minutes.
TO USE THE KNIFE SHARPENER
1. Turn the unit sideways so that the knife sharpener is to the right.
2. Place heel of blade lightly in groove. Apply a slight downward pressure on the blade
as it is drawn toward you with a slow, even motion.
3. Repeat procedure 4 or 5 times until desired degree of sharpness is achieved.
SPECIAL ATTENTION
Blades to be sharpened should be clean. Do not sharpen knives that have serrated
blades.
TO USE THE POP TOP OPENER
Remove the pull tab opener. Place the at end under the pull tab on top of the can.
Rotate 90° and pull the ring back to open can.
