Extension cords are available from local hardware stores and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If an extension cord is required, special care and caution is necessary. Also the cord must be: (1) marked with an electrical rating of 125 V. and at least 10 A.

Attach the two blades together by inserting the knob on one blade into the keyhole slot on the other and sliding them together. With the protective sleeve on the blades, carefully grasp the blades, serrated side down, at the drip guards. Push into position until both blades click into place (see Figure 1). 4.

Clean knife exterior by wiping with a soft damp cloth. The knife blades should be separated before washing. Slide the knob down to the keyhole and lift apart. Wash stainless steel blades in hot soapy water. Rinse well and dry thoroughly. Replace the protective sleeve.
