The toaster can automacally compensate the heat. This means that when you directly toast another slice of bread, the toaster
calculates the temperature of the device and adjusts the toasng me. This will ensure that your second slice of bread has the
same browning as the rst one.
With the DEFROST funcon you can defrost and toast bread at the same me.
• Adjust the browning control with the control knob

• Place the frozen bread in the toasng slot and push the lever down.
• Press the DEFROST buon. The indicator lights in the buons DEFROST and CANCEL will light up.
• The bread will be defrosted and then toasted.
If you would like to reheat the bread, aer it has been toasted, press the REHEAT buon.
• Place the bread in the toasng slot and push the lever down.
• Press the REHEAT buon. The indicator lights in the REHEAT and CANCEL buon will light up.
• The bread will be reheated. It is not necessary to set the browning control.
You can stop any process, toasng, reheang and defrosng, by pressing the CANCEL buon.
The appliance will automacally switch o and the lever will return to it’s original posion, liing the toasted slices.
The toasng me depends on the dampness of the bread and the thickness of the slice. If you only place one slice into the
toaster, it is possible that with the same seng the slice will brown more. Select a lower seng of the browning level.
If for whatever reason, a piece of bread is caught into the toasng slots, do not try to remove it immediately. Use the hi-li
funcon to li the piece of bread higher to remove it easier. If this does not work, unplug the toaster and leave it to cool down
rst. Than try to remove the piece carefully without touching the heangelements.
Never place bread rolls directly on the toaster to prevent damage to the appliance.
Always unplug the appliance before cleaning. Wipe the outside of the housing with a damp cloth and dry.

Remove the crumbtray at the boom of the toaster for easy cleaning of the inside. Pull the
crumbtray carefully at the handle from the side of the toaster. Remove the crumbs and clean the
crumbtray with a damp cloth. Slide the crumbtray back into the toaster aer cleaning. Check the
correct placement of the crumbtray before re-use.
