MAKING COFFEE WITH COFFEE BEANS
1. Li the water reservoir from the coee machine, fold open the cover and ll the reservoir under the tap with cold drinking
water up to the required level (2, 4 or 6 cups). Do not ll the reservoir above the 6 mark. Place the reservoir back in the
coee machine.
2. Swing open the lter holder. Remove the ring-shaped cover of the lter holder. Place the permanent, washable lter or a
paper coee lter (size 1x2) of which the edges have been folded back in the lter holder. This prevents the lter bag from
folding inwards and closing.
3. Place the ring-shaped cover back on the lter holder and swing the lter holder fully closed again.
4. Place the glass jug on the hot plate by sliding it under the lter holder with drip stop.
5. Put the coee beans in the coee bean holder on top of the coee machine and place the cover back on the coee bean
holder. We recommend not adding too many coee beans, to prevent the unused beans from becoming damp in the coee
bean holder. The holder is able to contain a maximum of 90 grams of coee beans.
Warning: Only ll the coee bean holder with coee beans and make sure that no foreign objects end up in the holder. Also do
not use any unroasted or damp coee beans. These might damage the appliance.
6. Insert the plug of the coee machine in an earthed wall socket. The indicator light at buons
and

lights up.
7. Select the number of cups of coee for which coee beans should be ground. Press buon
2
for 2 cups of coee,
4
for
4 cups of coee or
6
for 6 cups of coee. Adjust this number to the amount of water poured in the water reservoir. The
indicator light at the pressed buon lights up. If you do not press a buon, the appliance selects the default seng of 6
cups of coee.
8. Use the rotary knob on top of the coee machine to select coarse or ne ground coee. Turn the buon to the large coee
bean for coarse grind, or to the small coee bean for ne grind.
9. Select the required coee strength by pressing the buon . When the indicator light at the buon lights up, the
buon is pressed for extra strong coee. If the indicator light does not light up, the coee will be less strong.
10. Start the coee machine by pressing the buon
ON
OFF
. Aer approximately 3 seconds, the appliance starts grinding the coee
beans. Once the grinding process has been completed, the appliance will start making coee aer about 3 seconds.
11. When the ltering process has been completed, 3 beeps will sound. Take the glass jug from the hot plate and pour the
coee. Aer making coee, the hot plate will keep the coee warm for 35 minutes, aer which it switches o automacally.

switches o. If you want to switch o the appliance completely, you
must remove the plug from the socket.
12. Coee tastes best immediately aer it has been made, so do not wait too long before serving. The glass jug can
immediately be placed back on the hot plate or you can pour the coee into a thermos jug.
MAKING COFFEE WITH SHOP BOUGHT EXTRA-FINE GRIND
COFFEE
1. Li the water reservoir from the coee machine, fold open the cover and ll the reservoir under the tap with cold drinking
water up to the required level (2, 4 or 6 cups). Do not ll the reservoir above the 6 mark. Place the reservoir back in the
coee machine.
2. Swing open the lter holder. Remove the ring-shaped cover of the lter holder. Place the permanent, washable lter or a
paper coee lter (size 1x2) of which the edges have been folded back in the lter holder. This prevents the lter bag from
folding inwards and closing.
3. Scoop the required amount of coee (extra-ne grind) into the lter bag or permanent lter and gently shake the lter
to even out the coee. According to your taste, use 1 level measuring spoon per cup of coee. This is approximately 5-7
grammes of coee per cup. For 6 cups you will use 6 level measuring cups of extra-ne grind coee.
4. Place the ring-shaped cover back on the lter holder and swing the lter holder fully closed again.
5. Place the glass jug on the hot plate by sliding it under the lter holder with drip stop.
