MAKING COFFEE WITH COFFEE BEANS
1. Li the water reservoir from the coee machine, fold open the cover and ll the reservoir under the tap with cold drinking
water up to the required level (2, 4 or 6 cups). Do not ll the reservoir above the 6 mark. Place the reservoir back in the
coee machine.
2. Swing open the lter holder. Remove the ring-shaped cover of the lter holder. Place the permanent, washable lter or a
paper coee lter (size 1x2) of which the edges have been folded back in the lter holder. This prevents the lter bag from
folding inwards and closing.
3. Place the ring-shaped cover back on the lter holder and swing the lter holder fully closed again.
4. Place the glass jug on the hot plate by sliding it under the lter holder with drip stop.
5. Put the coee beans in the coee bean holder on top of the coee machine and place the cover back on the coee bean
holder. We recommend not adding too many coee beans, to prevent the unused beans from becoming damp in the coee
bean holder. The holder is able to contain a maximum of 90 grams of coee beans.
Warning: Only ll the coee bean holder with coee beans and make sure that no foreign objects end up in the holder. Also do
not use any unroasted or damp coee beans. These might damage the appliance.
6. Insert the plug of the coee machine in an earthed wall socket. The indicator light at buons
and

lights up.
7. Select the number of cups of coee for which coee beans should be ground. Press buon
2
for 2 cups of coee,
4
for
4 cups of coee or
6
for 6 cups of coee. Adjust this number to the amount of water poured in the water reservoir. The
indicator light at the pressed buon lights up. If you do not press a buon, the appliance selects the default seng of 6
cups of coee.
8. Use the rotary knob on top of the coee machine to select coarse or ne ground coee. Turn the buon to the large coee
bean for coarse grind, or to the small coee bean for ne grind.
9. Select the required coee strength by pressing the buon . When the indicator light at the buon lights up, the
buon is pressed for extra strong coee. If the indicator light does not light up, the coee will be less strong.
10. Start the coee machine by pressing the buon
ON
OFF
. Aer approximately 3 seconds, the appliance starts grinding the coee
beans. Once the grinding process has been completed, the appliance will start making coee aer about 3 seconds.
11. When the ltering process has been completed, 3 beeps will sound. Take the glass jug from the hot plate and pour the
coee. Aer making coee, the hot plate will keep the coee warm for 35 minutes, aer which it switches o automacally.

switches o. If you want to switch o the appliance completely, you
must remove the plug from the socket.
12. Coee tastes best immediately aer it has been made, so do not wait too long before serving. The glass jug can
immediately be placed back on the hot plate or you can pour the coee into a thermos jug.
MAKING COFFEE WITH SHOP BOUGHT EXTRA-FINE GRIND
COFFEE
1. Li the water reservoir from the coee machine, fold open the cover and ll the reservoir under the tap with cold drinking
water up to the required level (2, 4 or 6 cups). Do not ll the reservoir above the 6 mark. Place the reservoir back in the
coee machine.
2. Swing open the lter holder. Remove the ring-shaped cover of the lter holder. Place the permanent, washable lter or a
paper coee lter (size 1x2) of which the edges have been folded back in the lter holder. This prevents the lter bag from
folding inwards and closing.
3. Scoop the required amount of coee (extra-ne grind) into the lter bag or permanent lter and gently shake the lter
to even out the coee. According to your taste, use 1 level measuring spoon per cup of coee. This is approximately 5-7
grammes of coee per cup. For 6 cups you will use 6 level measuring cups of extra-ne grind coee.
4. Place the ring-shaped cover back on the lter holder and swing the lter holder fully closed again.
5. Place the glass jug on the hot plate by sliding it under the lter holder with drip stop.
