7. Inserting / replacing batteries
1. Turn over the device.
2. Slide the battery compartment lock (19) to the right and lift the cover
with the aid of the nger notch.
3. Insert two AA batteries, observe correct polarity as indicated by the
polarity markings in the battery compartment.
4. Reclose the battery compartment. Make sure that the lock clicks
into place.
Replace the batteries when the battery charge indicator (B) begins
ashing on the display. As long as the battery charge indicator is
ashing, the device will turn off automatically when a measurement
is started.
8. Turning the device on/off
The target laser will be deactivated automatically after
30 seconds of inactivity. The entire device turns off automatically
after 3 minutes of inactivity.
• Push the button
(18) to turn on the device. The display (2) turns
on.
• Caution! The target laser turns on when you turn on the device.
Keep the laser away from your eyes and do not point it at other
persons.
• To turn off the target laser, push the button
(10). Push the button
to turn the target laser back on (this applies also when the device
automatically deactivates the laser).
• Push and hold the button
for approx. 2 seconds to turn off the
device.
