Length Measurement
These rugged instruments have a wide range of
applications where an accurate record of length
is required. They are strong, heavy duty units
for use on calenders, tenters, rolling, ribbon
winding textile machinery and almost all other
continuous manufacturing processes. Any unit can
incorporate any of the heavy duty mechanical
revolution counters described in the totalising
and predetermining sections of the catalogue.
■ Available with shaft encoder for driving
electronic counters or computers.
■ Sturdy die-cast construction.
■ Uses standard measuring wheels.
■ Can tilted out of the way when not
in use.
■ Supplied with stand as an option.
The essential difference between these models is
the mounting arrangement. The 2300 bolts directly
onto a bulkhead or frame member. The 2400 (single
wheel) and 2700 (twin wheel) units are slung
from a stay rod. All the models incorporate a hinge
arrangement on the stay rod so that they can be
positioned at any angle. The 2400 is normally
supplied with a 200mm (7.87in) stay rod and stand.
The 2700, while normally supplied with 457mm
(17.99in) stay rod and stand, can alternatively be
supplied with two stands, one on each side, and a
stay rod of any length threaded at each end.
