mountingdevice.Thisleavesbothyourhandsfreeforthesolderingprocess.

• Onlyworkwithsufcientlightingatyourworkstation.
• Ensureproperventilationduringsoldering.Solderorsolderuxcanbeharmful.
• Washyourhandsthoroughlyafterworkingwithbrazingsoldercontainingtin.Thisisespecially
truewhenusingleadedsolder.
• Donotputbrazingsolderintoyourmouth,donoteatordrinkduringsoldering.
• Wearsuitableprotectiveclothingandprotectiveglasseswhensoldering.Liquidblazingsolder,
etc.maycauseseriousburnsorharmyoureyes!
• Neverusesolderingux,acidorsimilaraidswhensoldering.Suchmaterialsleadtobadsolder-
ingjointsandtheycanalsodamagethetipofthesolderingrod.Preferably,useatubularsolder
withuxcore.
• Donottouchanyotherareaofthesolderingrodthanthehandlewhenworking.Riskofburns!
• Solderingmustbedoneonnon-combustiblesurfaces.Protect othermaterialsnearby from
damagethroughheat.
• Pluginthesolderingironholderwhenthesolderingironisnotinuse.
• Ifthepowercordisdamaged,donottouchit;thereisdangertolifefromelectricshock!
First,switchoffthemainsvoltagetothesockettowhichthesolderingironisconnected(switch
offatthecorrespondingcircuitbreakerorremovethesafetyfuseorswitchoffatthecorre-
spondingRCDprotectiveswitch,sothatthesocketisfullydisconnected).
Thenyoucanremovethemainsplugfromthemainssocket.Donotusetheproductanylonger,
takeittoaspecialisedworkshopordisposeofinanenvironmentallyfriendlymanner.
• Anymaintenanceorrepairworkmaybeonlyperformedbyanauthorisedrepairshop.
• Neverusetheproductimmediatelyaftertakingitfromacoldroomtoawarmone.Thecon-
densationthatformsmightdamagetheproduct.Furthermore,thiscouldcausealethalelectric
shock!
Allowtheproducttoreachroomtemperature,beforeconnectingittothepowersupplyand
puttingitintouse.Thismaytakeseveralhours.
• Avoidthefollowingadverseconditionsattheinstallationlocationandduringtransport:
- Dustorammablegases,fumesorsolvents
- Strongvibrations,impactsorblows
- Strongmagneticeldssuchasthosefoundinthevicinityofmachineryorloudspeakers
• Disconnectthepowersupplyfromthepowersocketiftheproductwillnotbeusedforawhile
(e.g.storage).
• Whensettinguptheproduct,makesurethatthecableisneitherkinkednorpinched.
• Handletheproductwithcare;itcanbedamagedbyimpacts,blows,oraccidentalfalls,even
fromalowheight.
• Ifitcanbeassumedthatsafeoperationisnolongerpossible,thedevicemustbeturnedoffand
precautionsmustbetakentoensurethatitisnotusedunintentionally.Afterthis,arrangeforan
experttochecktheproduct.
Safeoperationcannolongerbeassumedif:
- thedeviceisvisiblydamaged,
- thedevicenolongerworks
- thedevicehasbeenstoredunderadverseconditionsforalongtime
- itwasexposedtoheavyloadsduringtransport
• Donotleavepackagingmaterialcarelesslylyingaround,sinceitcouldbecomeadangerous
playthingforchildren.

a)Installation
• Selectahorizontal,stableandsufcientlylargesurfacetoerectthesolderingstation.
Protectheat-sensitivesurfaceswith a suitable cover.Neverplacethe soldering station onsurfacesof
valuablefurnitureoroors;neverplaceitonacarpet.Keepsufcientdistancetocombustibleoreasily
inammableobjects(e.g.curtains).
• Duringtheinstallationofthesolderingstationandsolderingironholder,theoptimallocationofwherethe
twocomponentsshouldbeplacedcanbechosen.
• Removetheprotectiverubberonthetipofthesolderingiron.Itservesonlyasprotectionduringtransport,
itisnolongerneeded.
• Checkwhethertheridgedmetalnutistightenedtothesolderingiron(don’tuseanytooltotighten!).
• Placethesolderingrodintoitsholdersothatthesolderingrodcannotfallout.
• Ifyouwanttousethedrycleaner(brasswool)tocleanthesolderingtip,itcanbepluggedfromthesupplied
mountingbracketintotheassociatedopeningofthesolderingironholder.
Ifyouwanttousetheregularspongeforcleaningthetip,wetthespongewithcleanrunningwaterandplace
itintothecorrespondingholeofthesolderingironholder.

IntendedUse
Theanaloguesolderingstationisdesignedforsolderingtasksintheelectricalandelectronicsectorusing
differentsoftsolders(lead/silversolder).Thesolderingtemperatureisadjustable,thesolderingtipcanbe
replaced.
Thesolderingstationissuitableonlyforoperationwithamainsvoltage(230V/AC,50Hz).
Alwaysobservethesafetyinstructionsandallotherinformationincludedintheseoperatinginstructions.
Anyuseotherthanthatdescribedabovecouldleadtodamagetothisproductandinvolvestheriskofshort
circuits,re,electricshock,etc.Nopartoftheproductmaybemodiedorconverted!
