10. Maintenance and Storage
Moisture in the compressed air will rust the air motor so you should lubricate with air
tool oil after approximately 2 hours of continuous use and at the end of each use.
For best service you should incorporate a regulator, moisture separators, in-line
oiler and lter into the piping system. When performing maintenance, disconnect the
hose coupling and turn OFF the air supply.
a) Lubrication
If you are using the impact wrench without an airline oiler, rst
disconnect the impact wrench from the air supply and remove the
tip tool.
Hold it so the air inlet faces up (A9).
Hold the trigger down (A3) and apply a few drops of pneumatic tool
oil through the air inlet. Holding the trigger helps the oil circulate.
Connect the impact wrench to the air supply, cover the exhaust
port (A4) with a towel and run for a few seconds.
b) Cleaning
To eliminate air restriction strainers e.g. at the air inlet bushing (A9) must be kept clean and
free of obstructions.
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as
they can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning.
c) Storage
Avoid storing the tool in a location subject to high humidity and be aware of dust, humidity,
dew and freezing temperatures.
To help prevent moisture inside the impact wrench from causing rust, keep the impact wrench
oiled before storing for extended periods of time.
