c) (Rechargeable) batteries
Check that the batteries are inserted with the correct polarity.
To prevent battery leakage, remove the batteries when you do not plan to use the product
for an extended period. Leaking or damaged batteries may cause acid burns if they come
into contact with your skin. Always use suitable protective gloves when handling damaged
batteries.
Batteries must be kept out of the reach of children. Do not leave batteries lying around as
there is a risk that children or pets may swallow them.
All batteries must be replaced at the same time. Mixing old and new batteries can cause the
batteries to leak and damage the product.
Batteries must not be dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into open ames. Never charge
non-rechargeable batteries. This may cause an explosion!
Setup
a) Inserting/changing the batteries
Remove the screws from the rear of the housing using the hex key provided and remove the battery
compartment cover.
Insert 2x AAA batteries. Pay attention to the polarity markings on the inside of the battery compartment.
Close the battery compartment and screw the cover down again rmly and securely with the screws.
Replace the batteries as soon as the battery status display indicates a low battery level (<2.4 V). After
reaching this threshold, the battery status display ashes for 5 seconds. If the batteries are not replaced
within this time period, the product switches off automatically.

c) Switching on/off
Press the C button to switch the device on. A beep sounds. ‘0000’ ashes.
Place the product on a horizontal surface with the buttons pointing to the side. Wait until the automatic
reset process is complete after switching on. The product is ready for operation.
Press and hold the C button for approx. 3 seconds to switch the device off.
The devices switches off automatically if no button is pressed for 2 minutes.
Press the C button before each use to carry out a reset.
Do not press the C button while tightening with a key or other force application. Reset with the
C button is blocked in this case.
This is to avoid incorrect readings.
d) Display inversion
Press the button to rotate the display 180°. This may or may not be necessary, depending on the
working position.
Please note that inverting the LC display reverses the position description of the indicators:
‘Right’ becomes ‘left’ and vice versa. The descriptions in these operating instructions are based
on the default position.
e) Memory functions
The torque adapter has 30 pre-sets for pre-setting different congurations of torque and operating mode. You
can quickly use an exact set value in an operating mode by simply selecting a memory location.
Press the M button to activate memory location selection. ‘M-##’ ashes on the LC display. Select a
memory location number with the or button while the memory location number ‘M-##’ is ashing
on the LC display.
End activation of memory location selection by pressing M again, or wait for approx. 6 seconds. As soon as
the ashing stops, you can use the torque adapter with the set torque of the the current memory location
or set the new value.
The data in the memory are pre-set to maximum.
If the memory location number ‘M-##’ is no longer ashing, press the or button to modify a set
memory value.
Press and hold one of the two buttons to run through a set value quickly.
Press the TPA button to set an operating mode for a memory location. The ‘T’, ‘P’ or ‘A indicators indicate
the set operating mode. For details of the operating modes, see ‘h) Operating modes’.
Do not set the torque to less than 20 % of the setting range. Angle degree settings must begin
at 1°.
f) Switching units
Press the U/S button to switch between the units. The set unit appears on the LC display in a display loop
of Nm > kgf.cm > lbf.in > lbf.ft.
g) Resetting
Press and hold the C and ▼ buttons simultaneously for approx. 5 seconds to reset all memory values to
the factory settings.
h) Operating modes
You can adjust operating modes when setting memory locations or during operation.
Press the TPA button to switch the current operating mode of the device. ‘T’, ‘P’ or ‘A’ are displayed on the
LC display in this sequence as the ID of the set operating mode.
Set each of the possible torque values for the torque adapter if you have not yet implemented
any settings or retrieved a memory value.

Intended use
The product is designed to measure torques and angles. It has real-time display (T), maximum value
display (P) and angle degrees (A) operating modes and measures in units Nm, kgf.cm, lbf.ft, lbf.in
and ° (degrees). The torque adapter is calibrated in accordance with DIN 6789: 2017. Power is supplied by
2x AAA batteries (not included).
This product is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Do not expose the product to moisture,
e.g. in a car wash.
For safety and approval purposes, do not rebuild and/or modify this product. Using the product for purposes
other than those described above may damage the product. In addition, improper use can cause hazards
such as a short circuit or re. Read the operating instructions carefully and store them in a safe place. If you
pass the product on to a third party, please hand over these operating instructions as well.

a) General information
The device is not a toy. Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become a dangerous
plaything for children.
Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity,
moisture, ammable gases, vapours and solvents.
Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it
from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height may
damage the product.
Consult a technician if you are not sure how to use or connect the product, or if you have
concerns about safety.
Maintenance, modications and repairs must only be carried out by a technician or a specialist
repair centre.

b) Persons and product
Keep the product away from strong magnetic elds, e.g. close to electric motors, permanent
magnets, microwave ovens, etc.
Protect the LC display from strong forces and never press too hard on it.
Do not use the product as a striking tool or manipulate it with a hammer, stones or other
objects.
Exceeding the maximum torque values can lead to damage to the product or impair its
accuracy.
Do not use the product in the vicinity of water, oil or fuels such as petrol.
Do not use the product during its shutdown process.
Do not use any additional tools or aids such as metal pipes to exert more force through
extended leverage.
Do not operate the product with the buttons while exerting force.
Do not use the product on devices, machines or components when they are powered up.
The product must be operated under the supervision of qualied personnel in schools,
educational facilities, hobby and DIY workshops.
Always comply with the accident prevention regulations for electrical equipment when using
the product in commercial facilities.
