Real-time mode (Tracking T)
In real-time mode, the force applied is displayed in real time. You can see how the display immediately
adjusts to the change in the force applied. The display jumps back to the set end force value as soon as
no further force is exerted. The smaller of the duo displays on the right always displays the currently set
maximum value.
Maximum value display (Peak P)
On the maximum value display, the display value on the LC display increases until the exerted force
decreases. This maximum value is then frozen on the LC display. When force is exerted again, the display
value continues to increase if the value is higher than the frozen value. The new maximum value is displayed
and frozen. You always see only the maximum torque value reached in the current cycle. If no further force
is exerted for approx. 10 seconds, the LC display starts ashing and the display jumps back to set end force
value. Press the C button to switch back to the set end value.
Angle degrees (Angle A)
• The ‘A’ indicator appears at the top right of the LC display and ‘°’ on the left in front of the corresponding
torque value. In Angle degrees operating mode, the angle reached is displayed in real time on the basis
of 0°. As a user, you can see how the display immediately adjusts to the change in the angle reached. If
you decrease force and then apply it again, the angles reached are displayed cumulatively, i.e. the angle
from the rst tightening attempt is saved so that on the second or third tightening attempt, the set total
value can be reached. The LC display alternates the angle degrees and torque value. If no further force
is exerted for approx. 10 seconds, the LC display jumps back to the pre-set angle degrees. Press the
C button to reset the angle degrees display value and to switch to the set initial value.
• If you do not reset in this way, the angle degrees are cumulated on the display until some form of reset is
carried out (operating mode switched/device switched off).
i) Warning functions
• The product shows changes to forces during use both visually and acoustically. With a force application of
up to 80 % of the set end force, the LC display lights up green. If the force applied increases to over 80 %,
the colour turns orange and a slow beep is sounded. If an end force of 100 % or above is reached, the
device warns the user with a red backlight and fast continuous beeping.
• These warnings are output in real-time operating mode and maximum value display operating mode. In
real-time operating mode, the speed of the beeping reduces as soon as the force application decreases.
In maximum value display operating mode, both warnings disappear (beeping and red backlight) when
the force application decreases.
• The same warnings are also output in angle degrees operating mode. As in real-time operating mode, the
speed of the beeping reduces as soon as the force application decreases.
j) Backlight
Press the C and ▲ buttons simultaneously to switch the backlight on or off. The backlight is switched on
by default.
k) Overload warning
If the LC display shows ‘110 %’, the maximum torque has been exceeded by 10 %. Stop the excessive force
immediately as this can damage the product or impair accuracy. This warns you before overtightening the
torque adapter.
Care and cleaning
• Wipe the product with a cloth to dry it when wet.
• Before cleaning the product, disconnect it from the power supply (remove the batteries).
• Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these may damage the
housing or cause the product to malfunction.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste. At
the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
Remove any inserted batteries and dispose of them separately from the product.
b) (Rechargeable) batteries
You are required by law to return all used batteries (Battery Directive). They must not be placed
in household waste.
Batteries containing hazardous substances are labelled with this symbol to indicate that
disposal in household waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy metals involved are:
Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (indicated on the battery, e.g. below the waste bin icon
on the left).
Used (rechargeable) batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality, our stores or wherever
(rechargeable) batteries are sold.
You thus full your statutory obligations and contribute to environmental protection.
