7. Setup and preparation
Switch the product off and remove battery pack before assembly, cleaning, adjustments, maintenance,
storage and transportation.
Always wear gloves when handling the product. Risk of burns! Drill bits become very hot during operation.
Change the bits only after they have cooled down or use protective gloves.
a) Installing bits
Due to the impact mechanism you should use only bits, which are designed for operation with impact drills/
screwdrivers of greater or equal torque than the torque of the product.
Installation must be carried out when the battery is removed from the product to prevent injury.
The product can be only used with standard size drill bits.
1. Rotate the keyless chuck (3) anti-clockwise to open it to approximate bit diameter (Ú Fig. 1).
2. Insert the bit into the chuck opening as far as it goes. Rotate the keyless chuck clockwise until it is tightened.

Do not use the power of the drill while grasping the chuck to loosen or tighten bits. Risk of friction burn or
hand injury due to rotating chuck.
