8. Initial setup

a) Switching on/off and rotation speed

1. Switch on the multi-purpose tool using the on/off switch (D). The multi-purpose tool will start running at the lowest

speed. Move to the next level to switch to the maximum speed.

2. Switch off the multi-purpose tool using the on/off switch.

3. Toadjusttherotationspeed,switchupordowngradually.Therearetwodifferentspeedsettings.Therstsetting

is the lowest speed, and the second setting switches to the highest speed. Available speeds range from 8000 to

35000 rpm.

Caution! Never switch the speed while the tool is in contact with the workpiece.

4. You can start working if you have installed a tool. Refer to section "b) Instructions for tools and accessories" and

part "a) Clamping tools" in section "9. Operation".

b) Instructions for tools and accessories

Grinding tool (with shaft)

• Use the grinding tools (6) to sharpen, deburr, remove rust and grind.

• Clean and sharpen the grinding tools using the grinding stone (16)

provided.

Diamond grinder

• Usethegrindingtoolpins(7)(diamond-lled)toengravedifferentma-

terials.

• Work on metals at a low speed and do not work on wood or plastics.

Sanding belt with holder

• The sanding belts (3) are designed for grinding, smoothing and shap-

ingwoodandglassberreinforcedplastics.Attachthesandingbeltto

the holder (11).
