7. Preparation
Alwaysremovethebatterybeforeattemptinganycongurationoradjustmentworkonthedeviceorbefore
changingaccessories.Inadvertentoperationofthetrigger(2)cancauseinjury.
1Inserting/removing the battery
• Slide the battery into the battery compartment (11) until it clicks into place.
• Toremovethebattery,pressthereleasebuttononthebatteryandpullitoutofthebatterycompartment(11).
Always remove the battery before storing the appliance or if you do not plan to use it for an extended period
of time.
8. Operation
Always observe the safety information at the beginning of these original operating instructions.
1Before commencing work, check the following:
• Whichfasteningelementsareinthedevice?
• Check that the magazine cover and locking mechanism are securely in place.
• Arethereanyobvioussignsofdamagetothedevice(brokenhousing,bentparts,etc.)?
• Makesurethebatteryisfullychargedbeforeuse.
• Check the contact release mechanism and the trigger catch.
Proceed as follows:
- Remove the battery from the device.
- Remove all staples or nails from the magazine.
- Press the stapler head and trigger catch (5) onto a test workpiece and check that the stapler head and trigger
catch can move freely up and down.
- Place the battery back into the device.
- Set the operating mode switch (9) to “Single Firing”.
- Pressthestaplerheadandtriggercatch(5)againstthetestworkpiecewithoutpullingthetrigger(2).Thedevice
must not trigger.
Do not use the cordless nail gun if it triggers during this test without the trigger lever (2) bring pulled. Risk
of injury!
