1.!!Prepare!the!surface.!!!
Sand!the!surface!area!large!enough!for!the!mesh!to!fit!into.!!If!the!surface!is!
wallpapered,!remove!the!paper!for!an!area!larger!than!the!mesh!so!it!may!be!
replaced!unseen.!!Wipe!the!area!clean!of!dust.!

2.!!Apply!the!self@adhesive!patch.!!!
Be!sure!the!mesh!patch!will!extend!at!least!½!inch!beyond!the!damaged!area!in!all!
directions.!!Remove!the!paper!cover!from!the!patch!and!apply!over!the!hole!with!the!
surface!covered!by!mesh!facing!outward.!!Firmly!press!the!mesh!onto!the!prepared!
surface.!

3.!!Apply!compound.!
Follow!the!mixing!directions!on!the!compound!container.!!Use!a!compound!
applicator!knife!to!spread!a!thin!layer!of!compound!evenly!over!the!patch.!!Feather!
the!compound!toward!the!edges!of!the!patch!so!the!patched!area!blends!with!the!
wall.!!Allow!to!dry.!

4.!!Finish!the!surface.!
Lightly!sand!the!dried!compound!with!a!sandpaper!of!100!grit!or!finer.!!!Do!not!sand!
into!the!mesh!patch.!!Once!the!surface!is!smooth,!paint,!wallpaper!or!texture!as!
desired.!
