Note: The stabilizer and wing incidences and
engine thrust angles have been factory-built into the
giant Mustang. However, some technically-minded
modelers may wish to check these measurements
anyway. To view this information, visit the web site at
and click on “Technical Data.” Due to manufacturing
tolerances which will have little or no effect on the
way the model will fly, there may be slight deviations
between your model and the published values.
ASSEMBLE THE WINGS
Hinge the ailerons and flaps
Start with the left wing so yours matches the
photos the first time through.
❏❏1. Lay a few paper towels on top of each other
and cut them into small squares. These paper towel
squares will come in handy for wiping away excess
epoxy throughout the assembly process (and will
save you from wasting whole paper towels!).
❏❏2. Separate the aileron and flap from the wing
by peeling off the masking tape holding them
together. Use a paper towel square dampened with
naphtha lighter fluid or similar solvent to remove any
glue left from the tape.
❏❏3. If necessary, use a covering iron with a covering
sock to go over the wing, flap and aileron to remove
