4.10. Call Duration Indicator on the Display
During a call the call duration appears on the display (hours:minutes:seconds).
E.g. " 01:02:30" for 1 hour, 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
The call duration remains visible on the display for 5 seconds after each call.
4.11. Locking the key pad
If you lock the alphanumeric keypad, it is impossible to dial a telephone
number. Only the softkeys can still be used.
Switching on Call Barring
- Press the Menu key.
- Press the '*' key.
- 'KEYGUARD ON' appears on the display.
Switching off Call Barring
- Press the first softkey.
- Press the '*' key.
- 'KEYGUARD OFF' appears on the display.
4.12. Turning off the microphone (mute)
It is possible to turn off the microphone during a call by pressing the Mute key.
Now you can speak freely without the caller being able to hear you.
- During a call press the Mute key.
- ‘MIC OFF’ appears on the display and the handset sounds a beep.
- When you would like to resume the conversation, press the Mute key again.
4.13. Pause key
If you dial a telephone number and you would like to add a pause to this
number, press the Pause key /P at the desired place in the number.
When you call this number, this pause (3 seconds) is automatically included.
Note: the length of the pause can be set (see 4.21. Setting pause length). You can only
add a pause during dial preparation or while you are programming memory numbers!
4.14. Using the alphanumeric keypad
Use the alphanumeric keypad to type text. To select a letter, press the
corresponding key. E.g. if you press the alphanumeric key '5', the first
character (j) appears on the display. Press it repeatedly to select other
characters from this key.
