Clearing the NVRAM
ThereceiversNonͲVolatileRandomAccessMemory(NVRAM)holdsdatarequiredforsatellitetracking,suchasephemerisdata
andreceiverposition.TheNVRAMalsokeepsthecurrentreceiverssettings,suchasactiveantennainput,elevationmasksand
recordinginterval,andinformationaboutthereceiversinternalfilesystem.ClearingthereceiversNVRAM
resto
resthe
receiversfactorydefaultsettings.
AlthoughclearingtheNVRAMisnotrecommendedasacommonpractice,therearetimeswhenitcaneliminatecommunication
ortrackingproblems.
AfterclearingtheNVRAM,thereceiverrequirestimetocollectnewephemeridesandalmanacs(around15minutes).
ClearingtheNVRAMwillnotdelete
anyfi
lesalreadyrecordedinthereceiversmemory,andtheNVRAMkeepsinformation
aboutthereceiverfilesystem.
YoucanalsouseTRUtocleartheNVRAM:
1. Connectthereceivertoacomputer,and openTRU.SeetheTopconReceiverUtility(TRU)ReferenceManualfor
moreinformationaboutconnectingthereceivertoacomputer.
2. InTRU,connecttothereceiver.
