z Avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes. When coming into
contact with battery acid, immediately rinse the affected areas with plenty of
clear water and immediately contact a physician.
z Remove the batteries from the device, if it is not in use for a longer period of
time. If you suspect a battery has been swallowed, seek immediate medical
assistance.
Additional safety instructions for pipe and electricity cable
detectors
z Do not use the tool for detecting voltage in non-insulated/exposed cables.
z Do not use the devices as a replacement for a voltmeter.
z Be aware that the device may possibly not always detect all pipes and cables
correctly.
z The following conditions can cause imprecise results:
- Weak battery
- Thick walls with thin pipes or electricity cables
- Very thick walls
- Very deeply positioned electricity cables or pipes
