–Beforerefueling.
•Usecarewhencheckingthecuttingline.Wrapthe
cuttinglineorweargloves,andusecautionwhen
servicingthem.Onlyreplacethecuttingline.
•Keephandsandfeetawayfrommovingparts.If
possible,donotmakeadjustmentswiththeengine
running.
•Shutoffthefuelwhilestoringortransportingthe
machine.Donotfuelnearopenames,anddonot
drainfuelindoors.
•Parkthemachineonlevelground.Neverallow
untrainedpersonneltoservicethemachine.
•Allowtheenginetocoolbeforestoringinany
enclosure.
•Replacewornordamagedpartsforsafety.
•Ifthefueltankhastobedrained,thisshouldbe
doneoutdoors.Thedrainedfuelshouldbestoredin
acontainerspecicallydesignedforfuelstorageor
itshouldbedisposedofcarefully.
•StarttheenginecarefullyaccordingtotheOperator’s
Manualandwithfeetawayfromthecuttingelements.
•Alwayswearearprotection.
•Donottiltthetrimmerwhenstartingtheengine,
exceptifthetrimmerhastobetiltedforstarting.In
thiscasedonottiltitmorethanabsolutelynecessary
andliftonlythepartwhichisawayfromtheoperator.
•Examinethetrimmerregularlyandreplacewornor
damagedpartsforsafety.Neverreplacethecutting
unitwithmetalpartsandonlyusecuttingheadsand
cuttingelementswhicharesuitableforuseatthe
operatingspeedofthetrimmer;
