Aftereachuse

•Cleangrassclippingsanddirtfromtheentiremachine.

Every100hours

•Checkthesparkplugandreplaceitifnecessary.

Yearly

•Replacetheairlter;replaceitmorefrequentlyindustyoperatingconditions.

•Changetheengineoil.

•Replacethebladeorhaveitsharpened(morefrequentlyiftheedgedullsquickly).

PreparingforMaintenance

WARNING

Tippingthemachinemaycausethefuelto

leak.Fuelisammable,explosiveandcan

causepersonalinjury.

Runtheenginedryorremovethefuelwitha

handpump;neversiphon.

1.Shutofftheengineandwaitforallmovingparts

tostop.

2.Disconnectthespark-plugwirefromthe

sparkplug(Figure19)beforeperformingany

maintenanceprocedure.

Important:Alwaystipthemachineontoits

side,withthedipstickdown.Ifthemachine

istippedinanotherdirection,oilmayllthe

valvetrain,requiringatleast30minutesto

drain.
