1.Ensurethatthefueltankcontainslittleornofuel
sothatfueldoesnotleakoutwhenyoutipthe
machineontoitsside.
2.Runtheengineafewminutesbeforechanging
theoiltowarmit.
Note:Warmoilowsbetterandcarriesmore
contaminants.
3.Disconnectthewirefromthesparkplug.Refer
toPreparingforMaintenance(page15).
4.Removethedipstick.
5.Tipthemachineontoitsside,withthedipstick
down,todraintheusedoiloutthroughtheoil
lltube.
6.Returnthemachinetotheoperatingposition.
7.Slowlypouroilintotheoilllhole,wait3
minutes,andchecktheoillevelonthedipstick
bywipingthedipstickcleanandtheninserting,
butnotscrewingin,theoilllcapintothehole.
