•Keepinmindthattheoperatororuseris
responsibleforaccidentsorhazardsoccurringto
otherpeopleortheirproperty.
•Ifgasolineisspilled,donotattempttostartthe
enginebutmovethemachineawayfromthe
areaofspillageandavoidcreatinganysourceof
ignitionuntilthegasolinevaporhasdissipated.
•Replacefaultysilencers.
•Beforeusing,alwaysvisuallyinspecttoseethat
theblades,bladeboltsandcutterassemblyare
notwornordamaged.Replacewornordamaged
bladesandboltsinsetstopreservebalance.
•Neverpickuporcarryamachinewhiletheengine
isrunning.
•Stoptheengineanddisconnectthesparkplug
wire,makesurethatallmovingpartshavecome
toacompletestop:
–Beforeclearingblockages.
–Beforechecking,cleaning,orworkingonthe
machine.
–Afterstrikingaforeignobject.Inspectthe
machinefordamageandmakerepairsbefore
restartingandoperatingthemachine.
–Ifthemachinestartstovibrateabnormally.
–Wheneveryouleavethemachine.
–Beforerefueling.
•Ensurethattheengineandfueltankareempty
offuelbeforerotatingthemachinebeyonda45
degreeangle.
•Reducethethrottlesettingduringengineshut
downand,iftheengineisprovidedwithashut-off
valve,turnthefueloffattheconclusionofmowing.
•Allowtheenginetocoolbeforestoringinany
enclosure.
•Replacewornordamagedpartsforsafety.
•Ifthefueltankhastobedrained,thisshouldbe
doneoutdoors.
•Localregulationsmayrestricttheageofthe
operator.
•Alwayswearearprotection.
•Donottiltthemachinewhenstartingtheengine,
exceptifthemachinehastobetiltedforstarting.
Inthiscasedonottiltitmorethanabsolutely
necessaryandliftonlythepartwhichisawayfrom
theoperator.

ordamagedpartsforsafety.
