1.Movethemachinetoalevelsurface.
2.Removethedipstickandwipeitwithaclean
cloth.
3.Insert,butdonotscrewin,thedipstickintothe
oilllhole.
4.Removethedipstickandcheckit.
5.Todeterminetheproperoillevelonthedipstick,
refertoFigure11).

7.Installthedipstickandhandtightenitsecurely.
Important:Changetheengineoilafterthe
rst5operatinghours;changeityearly
thereafter.RefertoChangingtheEngineOil.
AdjustingtheCutting
Height
WARNING
Adjustingthecuttingheightmaybringyou
intocontactwiththeblade,causingserious
injury.
Stoptheengineandwaitforallmoving
partstostop.
Weargloveswhilehandlingtheblade.
CAUTION
Iftheenginehasbeenrunning,themufer
willbehotandcanseverelyburnyou.Keep
awayfromthehotmufer.
Adjustthecuttingheightasdesired.
1.Turnthefuelswitchtotheoffposition.
2.Disconnectthewirefromthesparkplug.
3.Tiltthemachineonitsleftside.
4.Removethebladebolt.
5.Wearingprotectivegloves,removetheblade
boltandspacers.
6.Repositionthespacerstothedesiredheight,
reinstallthebladeboltandspacers(Figure12,),
andtightentheboltto25N-m(18ft-lbs).
