Examinethecuttingdiscassemblywheneveryou
adjustthecuttingheight.Ifthecuttingdiscassembly
isdamaged,replaceitimmediately.
1.Removethecuttingdisk;refertoRemovingthe
CuttingDisk(page15).
2.Changethepositionofthespacerstoadjustthe
cuttingheightasshownin(Figure27).
Note:Eachspacerchangesthecuttingheight
6.3mm(1/4inch).

RemovingtheCuttingDisk
Examinethecuttingdiscassemblywheneveryou
removethecuttingdisk.Ifthecuttingdiscassemblyis
damaged,replaceitimmediately.
1.Closethefuel-shutoffvalve;refertoFuel-Shutoff
Valve(page10).
2.Disconnectthewirefromthesparkplug.
3.Tipthemachineonitsside,withthedipstick
down.
Important:Alwaystipthemachineontoits
sidewiththedipstickaligneddown.Ifthe
machineistippedinanotherdirection,oil
mayllthevalvetrain—requiringatleast30
minutestodrain.

InstallingtheCuttingDisk
Important:Youwillneedatorquewrenchto
installthecuttingdiscassemblyproperly.Ifyou
donothaveatorquewrenchorareuncomfortable
performingthisprocedure,contactanAuthorized
ServiceDealerorauthorizedTorodistributor.
1.Assembletheretainer,cuttingdisc,spacers,
andconicalspacertotheimpellerwiththebolt
(Figure30).
Important:Alwaysassembletheconical
spacerdirectlybelowtheimpellerandthe
retainerundertheheadofthebolt.
