MaintenanceandStorage
•Disengagedrives,lowerimplement,setparkingbrake,
stopengine,andremovekeyordisconnectsparkplug
wire.Waitforallmovementtostopbeforeadjusting,
cleaning,orrepairing.
•Parkmachineonlevelground.Neverallowuntrained
personneltoservicemachine.
•Keephandsandfeetawayfrommovingparts.Ifpossible,
donotmakeadjustmentswiththeenginerunning.
•Keepallnuts,boltsandscrewstighttobesurethe
equipmentisinsafeworkingcondition.Replaceallworn
ordamagedlabels.
•Donotusepressurecleaningequipmentonmachine.
•Neverstoretheequipmentwithgasolineinthetankand
insideabuildingwherefumescanreachanopename
orspark.
•Allowtheenginetocoolbeforestoringinanyenclosure.
•Toreducetherehazard,keeptheengine,silencer,and
gasolinestorageareafreeofgrass,leaves,orexcessive
grease.
•Cleanupanyoilorfuelspill.
•Checkgrasscatchercomponentsandthedischargeguard
frequentlyandreplacewithmanufacturer'srecommended
parts,whennecessary.
•Replacewornordamagedpartsforsafety.
•Replacefaultysilencers.
•Ifthefueltankhastobedrained,dothisoutdoors.
•Donotchangetheenginegovernorsettingsoroverspeed
theengine.Operatinganengineatexcessivespeedcan
increasethehazardofpersonalinjury.
•Becarefulduringadjustmentofthelawnmowerto
prevententrapmentofthengersbetweenmovingblades
andxedpartsofthelawnmower.
•Usecarewhencheckingblades.Wraptheblade(s)or
weargloves,andusecautionwhenservicingthem.Only
replaceblades.Neverstraightenorweldthem.
•Toensurethebestperformanceandsafety,
