ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
1.Removethedipstickandwipeitwithacleancloth.
2.Fullyinsertthedipstick.
3.Iftheoillevelislow,slowlypouroilintotheoil-ll
tube,wait3minutes,andchecktheoillevelonthe
dipstickbywipingthedipstickcleanandtheninserting
thedipstickintothetube(Figure10).

4.Filltheenginewithoiluntilthedipstickindicatesthat
theengine-oilleveliscorrectasshowninFigure10.If
youoverlltheenginewithoil,removetheexcessoil
asdirectedinChangingtheEngineOil(page13).

AdjustingtheCuttingHeight
WARNING
Adjustingthecuttingheightmaybringyouinto
contactwiththemovingblade,causingserious
injury.
•Shutofftheengineandwaitforallmovingparts
tostop.
•Donotputyourngersunderthehousingwhen
adjustingthecuttingheight.
CAUTION
Iftheenginehasbeenrunning,themuferwillbe
hotandcanseverelyburnyou.
Keepawayfromthehotmufer.

thelockingnotch(Figure11).
