Donotattachthemountingbracketstotheframe
orstructureofasafetycaboraROPS.
Dothisprocedureafterattachingthemowertothetractor
forthersttime.
Aquick-releasemountingbracketissuppliedwiththe
machineformountingthecontrolleverstothetractor,in
aconvenientpositionfortheoperator.Whenchoosinga
positionleaveadequateslackintheBowdencablestoallow
forarticulationofthetractorandmowerwhenturningor
negotiatingbrowsofhills,etc.Seriousdamagecouldresult
iftheBowdencablesbecomestretchedorpinchedinwork.
ChecktheroutingoftheBowdencablesandensurethatthey
arefreeofpinchpointsandhaveadequateslack.
Thetractorshouldbeequippedwithturf-patterntiresto
minimizedamagetoneturfareas.Consultyourtractor
operator’smanualortractordealerforfulldetailsof
recommendedtireequipment.Payparticularattentionto
thetractortirepressuresasthishasaconsiderableeffecton
steering,traction,andassociatedturfdamage.

Important:Beforeusingthemower,ensurethatthe
PTOshaftistheappropriatelength;refertoSetup(page
9).
ConnectingtheHitches
1.Reversethetractortoapproximatelythecorrect
positioninrelationtothemowertoestablishthe
mowerdrawbarposition.
2.Applythetractorparkingbrake,stoptheengine,and
removetheignitionkey.
3.Alignthemowertowhitchwiththetractorringhitch.
Ifnecessaryadjusttheheightoftheringhitchby
ttingthedrawbarintheappropriatemountingholes
inthemowerfrontplate;refertoDrawbarMounting
Locations(page22).
