BackLappingtheCutting
Units
Thisprocessisforrestoringthesharpcuttingedgestothe
cylindersandthebottomblades,whichareessentialfor
good-qualitygrasscutting.
Thisprocessremovesonlyasmallamountofmetaltorestore
thecuttingedges.Ifthebladeedgesareseverelywornor
damaged,removethecomponentpartsandhavethem
groundagain.
1.Lowerthecuttingunitstotheground.
2.Ensurethatthetractorengineisoffandthatthe
parkingbrakeisset.
3.Adjustthecuttingcylinderstothebottombladesto
obtaineetingcontact.
4.Applyamedium-grade,detergent-basedcarborundum
pastetothecuttingedgesofthecylinderswitha
long-handledbrush.
