Usingthe
Weight-Transfer/Traction
Assistance
Avariablehydraulicweighttransfersystemisprovided
forimprovingtiregripwiththegrasssurface-traction
assistance.
Hydraulicpressureinthecuttingunitsliftsystem
providesaliftingforcewhichreducesthecuttingunits’
weightonthegroundandtransferstheweightasa
downwardforceontothetiresofthemachine.This
actionisknownasweighttransfer.
Toengageweighttransfer:Youcanvarytheamount
ofweighttransfertosuitoperatingconditionsby
rotatingtheweighttransferhandwheelasfollows:
1.Releasethevalvelocknut1/2turnanti-clockwise
andhold.
2.Rotatethevalvehandwheel.
•Anti-clockwisetoreduceweighttransfer.
•Clockwisetoincreaseweighttransfer.
3.Tightenthenut.

WARNING
Neverattempttorotatethecuttingcylinders
byhand.
•Theremaybesomeresidualpressurein
thehydraulicsystemwhichcouldcause
injurythroughsuddenmovementofthe
cylinder(s)whentheblockageisreleased.
•Alwayswearprotectiveglovesandusea
suitablestrongwoodeninstrument.
•Ensurethatthewoodeninstrumentwill
tbetweenthebladesandthroughthe
cylinderandislongenoughtoprovide
sufcientleveragetoreleasetheblockage.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthe
cuttingunits,engagetheparkingbrake,shutoff
theengine,andremovethekey.
2.Disengagealldrives.
3.Checkthatallpowersourcesarestopped.
4.Releaseallstoredenergydevices.
5.Checkthatallmovingpartsarestationary.
6.Usingasuitablestrongwoodeninstrument,
removetheblockage.Makesurethatthe
woodeninstrumentisproperlysupportedinthe
cylinderandavoidtheuseofexcessiveforceto
preventdamage.
7.Ensurethatthewoodeninstrumentisremoved
fromthecuttingcylinderbeforestartingthe
powersource.
8.Repairoradjustthecuttingunitifrequired.
OperatingTips
BecomingFamiliarwiththe
Machine
Beforemowinggrass,practiceoperatingthemachine
inanopenarea.Startandstoptheengine.Operatein
forwardandreverse.Lowerandraisethecuttingunits
andengageanddisengagethecuttingunits.When
youfeelfamiliarwiththemachine,practiceoperating
upanddownslopesatdifferentspeeds.
