4.Cleanbothsidesoftheoilcooler,radiatorand
rearengineareathoroughlywithcompressed
air.
5.Lowertheenginecoverandsecurethelatches.
BeltMaintenance
Checktheconditionandtensionofthealternatorbelt
aftertherstdayofoperationandevery100operating
hoursthereafter.
CheckingtheConditionand
TensionoftheAlternator
Belt
ServiceInterval:Every100hours
Propertensionwillallowa10mm(3/8inch)
deectionwhenaforceof4.5kg(10lb)isapplied
onthebeltmidwaybetweenthepulleys.
Ifthedeectionisnot10mm(3/8inch),loosenthe
alternatormountingbolts(Figure44).Increaseor
decreasethealternatorbelttensionandtighten
thebolts.
Note:Checkdeectionofbeltagaintoensure
thatthetensioniscorrect.
