1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,raisethe

cuttingunittotheTRANSPORTposition,engage

theparkingbrake,shutofftheengine,and

removethekey.

2.Thoroughlycleanthecuttingunit,payingspecial

attentiontotheseareas:

•Underneaththecuttingunit

•Underthecuttingunitbeltcover

•PTOshaftassembly

•Allgreasettingsandpivotpoints

3.Checkandadjustthetraction-unitfrontandrear

tirepressure;refertothetraction-unitOperator’s

Manual.

4.Sharpenallbladesandreplaceanydamaged

bladesasnecessary;refertoSharpeningthe

Blades(page25)andReplacingtheBlades

(page26).

5.Checkallfastenersforloosenessandtighten

themasnecessary.

6.Greaseoroilallgreasettingsandpivotpoints

andwipeoffanyexcesslubricant;referto

LubricatingtheCuttingUnit(page19).

7.Lightlysandandusetouchuppaintonpainted

areasthatarescratched,chipped,orrusted.

Repairanydents.
