BeforeyouengagethePTOwithanequippedail,
usethetraction-unitthrottlecontroltoadjustthe
enginetoamediumspeed.Onceyouengagethe
PTO,usethethrottlecontroltoincreasetheengine
speedtofullspeed.
Important:Reducingtheenginespeedpriorto
engagingthePTOwiththeailhelpsprevent
prematuredrivelinewear.

Procedure
FortractionunitsthathaveaCabKitandaRoadLightKitequipped,theailmowercouldcontacttheroad
lights.Toavoidcontactwiththeroadlights,installthespacerstorestrictmovementoftheliftarms.
1.Underthefrontchassis,removetheexistingscrews(1/4inch)andrubberpadsfromthechassis(Figure
17).
Discardthescrewsandretainthepads.
2.Usethenewscrews(1/4x1-1/4inch)tosecurethespacersandrubberpadstothechassis(Figure17).
Tightenthescrewsuntiltheheadsareushwiththerubberpads.
