ServiceInterval:Every250hours—Ensurethatthe

beltdriveandtaper-lockbushingset

screwsaretightenedtothecorrect

torque.

1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthe

cuttingunit,engagetheparkingbrake,shutoff

theengine,andremovethekey.

2.Removethebeltcover(Figure26).

3.Tightenthesetscrewssecuringthetaper-lock

bushingsto30N∙m(41ft-lb).

RemovingtheCuttingUnit

1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthe

cuttingunit,engagetheparkingbrake,shutoff

theengine,andremovethekey.

2.DisconnectthePTO-shaftyokefromthe

cutting-unitgearboxshaftasshowninFigure13.

Important:WheneveryouremovethePTO

shaftfromthegearbox,usenewcapscrews

andlocknutstosecuretheshafttothe

gearbox.

3.Removethefastenersthatattachthedebris

skirttothefront-axlebracketonthetractionunit

(Figure14).

4.Removethelynchpinsandpinssecuringthe

cuttingunittotheliftarms(Figure30).
