replaceitbeforeoperationiscommenced.Alsotighten

anyloosenuts,bolts,andscrewstoensurecuttingunitis

insafeoperatingcondition.

•Alwayswearsubstantial,slip-resistantfootwear.Do

notoperatecuttingunitswhilewearingsandals,tennis

shoes,sneakersorshorts.Also,donotwearloosetting

clothingwhichcouldgetcaughtinmovingparts.Always

wearlongpants.Wearingsafetyglasses,safetyfootwear

andahelmetisadvisableandrequiredbysomelocal

ordinancesandinsuranceregulations.

•Removealldebrisorotherobjectsthatmightbepicked

upandthrownbythecuttingunitreelblades.Keepall

bystandersawayfromtheworkingarea.

•Ifthecuttingbladesstrikeasolidobjectortheunit

vibratesabnormally,stopandshuttheengineoff.Check

cuttingunitfordamagedparts.Repairanydamagebefore

startingandoperatingthecuttingunit.

•Lowerthecuttingunitstothegroundandremovekey

fromignitionswitchwhenevermachineisleftunattended.

Mounting the Brackets 2 WARNING Installing the Rear Lights Using a drill without proper eye protection may allow debris to enter the eye, causing injury. Parts needed for this procedure: When drilling or carrying out other operation, always wear eye protection. 2 Bolt (M16 x 110 mm) 2 Locknut (M16) 1. Open the engine cover. 1 Left light bracket 2. 8. Connect 1 black and green connector to the rear indicator light connector and the black, red, and orange connector to the stop/tail light connector (Figure 6). 2. Drill an 8 mm (5/16 inch) diameter hole on the center of the bulkhead, 15 mm (5/8 inch) from the center line of the bulkhead (Figure 8). 4. Install the number plate to the number plate bracket using 2 hex-head screws (M6), 4 washers (M6), and 2 locknuts (M6). Figure 12 1. Black wire 2. Red wire 7. Installing the Pressure Switch 2. Remove the blanking cap and attach the pressure-switch adapter using a dowty seal (Figure 13 or Figure 14). Note: The pressure switch controls the brake lights. 1. Models 30654, 30655, and 30656: Locate the 3 hose connections on the right side of the transmission pump. The lower front connection to the pump has a tee fitting with a blanking cap Figure 13. 3. Attach the pressure switch to the adapter and torque to 34 N-m (25 ft-lb; Figure 13 or Figure 14). 4.

Connecting the Wires 1. Connect a headlamp cable to the left headlamp by passing the end with just the pins through the hole in the headlamp body from the inside so that the connector is inside the lamp (Figure 19). Operation Maintenance Position the marker lights (front and rear). Press the top of the switch—the switch will illuminate and the red (rear) and white (front) marker lights will turn on. Replace all worn or damaged parts with genuine Toro parts. Check that all lights are working on a regular basis. Ensure that the headlights are adjusted correctly. Clean the lights daily—avoid using solvent-based products.
