ChargingandConnecting
theBattery

Batteryelectrolytecontainssulfuricacid,
whichislethalifconsumedandcauses
severeburns.
Donotdrinkelectrolyteandavoidcontact
withskin,eyes,orclothing.Wearsafety
glassesandrubbergloves.
Fillthebatterywherecleanwaterisalways
availableforushingtheskin.
1.Removethe2knobsthatsecurethebattery
covertothemachine,andremovethecover
(Figure4).

chargerfromtheelectricaloutletandbattery
posts.
5.Installthepositivecable(red)tothepositive(+)
batteryterminal,andsecurethemwithT-bolt
andnut(Figure5).
Note:Ensurethatthepositive(+)terminalisall
thewayontothepostandthecableispositioned
snugtothebattery.
Important:Thecablemustnotcontactthe
batterycover.
6.Installthenegativecable(black)tothenegative
(–)batteryterminalofthebattery,andsecure
themwithT-boltandnut(Figure5).
WARNING
Incorrectbatterycableroutingcould
damagethetractorandcables,causing
sparks.Sparkscancausethebattery
gassestoexplode,resultinginpersonal
injury.
Alwaysdisconnectthenegative
(black)batterycablebefore
disconnectingthepositive(red)
cable.
Alwaysconnectthepositive(red)
batterycablebeforeconnectingthe
negative(black)cable.
