Identification of EdgeSeries Reels April 29, 2016
Fairway Reel Identification:
The Fairway reels can be identified solely by the profile of the reel blades. The EdgeSeries reel
has a tapered blade while the standard reel has a milled relief on the back of the blade.

Greens Reel Identification:
The 8 and 11 blade greens reels can be identified by the number of blades in contact with the
bedknife at one time. The geometry of the 14 blade reel is shared on both the EdgeSeries and
the standard reel. There is no visible difference between the 14 blades reels so care should be
taken to identify a new EdgeSeries reel if it is installed in an older cutting unit frame
