Subject: New Reel Bearing Available (100-4926).
The original Reel Bearing (88-7880) may rotate in the Bearing Housing (99-3404)
causing wear between the outer race of the Bearing and the bore of the Bearing
Housing. The rotation is usually caused by inadequate lubrication after washing. The
wear allows excessive radial play and inconsistent reel to bedkife contact.
During repair, replace Bearing Housing (99-3404) and install a new Reel Bearing
(100-4926). The new Reel Bearing includes an anti-rotation pin in the outer race that
engages in the insertion slot of the Bearing Housing. Center the pin in the bearing
insertion slot during bearing installation.
Reel Bearing (100-4926) will only be used on the Cutting Units listed above. The
original Reel Bearing (88-7880) is used on other applications and will retain the part
number. Both parts are available through normal distribution channels.
