Subject: Availability of Lift Arm Stop to prevent Oil Cooler damage.
At transport speeds over rough terrain the cutting unit lift arms may contact the hydraulic
fittings for the oil cooler with enough force to damage the oil cooler. Failure to control the
upward recoil of the cutting units by operating at a reduced speed over rough terrain may
cause damage to the oil cooler and result in an oil leak.
As an added precaution, Lift Arm Stop (94-1750) may be installed to limit the upward
travel of the lift arm. Parts are available through your local Toro distributor.
Lift Arm Stop (94-1750) Installation Instructions
1. Remove the existing fasteners located between Lift Arms and install Lift Arm Stop (94-1750)
as shown in the figure above. Use original fasteners and Lock Washers (3255-9) during
installation of Stop.
2. Install Washer (3256-23) and Rubber Bumper (237-37) at each end of the Lift Arm Stop.
3. Start the unit and raise the Cutting Units to a full raised position.
4. Check to make sure the Rubber Bumpers make contact with the Lift Arms to prevent contact
with the Oil Cooler. Additional Washers may be added between the Lift Arm Stop and the
Rubber Bumpers, if necessary.
