All product equipped with Dana GT 20 Differentials:

Subject: Repair suggestions for Dana Axle Shaft Seal leakage conditions.

To ensure the greatest possible long-term success with a repair, certain enhancements

should be considered in addition to the replacement of any failed parts. Refer to the

instructions and diagrams below.

1. The head of the Torque Spider Capscrew must be positioned flat against the Axle

Flange. To accomplish this, grind any material from the Axle Tube radius that interferes

with the edge of the cap screw head.

2. The outside surface of the Axle Flange must be flat. Use a file to correct any high areas.

3. Eliminate the Axle Flange Gasket and replaced with Liquid Gasket Kit (92-8775).

4. Add metal Insert (93-7416) between the Dust Cover and the Axle Flange. This Insert will

provide additional support to the Axle Bearing for extreme side hill applications.
