Subject: Leakdown of lift arms due to a Blocking Cartridge leaking internally.
Internal leakage through the SV3, SV4 or SV5 Blocking Cartridges (104-1208) may
allow the related cutting units to leakdown, or lower to the ground without activating the
controls. Some leakage through this cartridge is normal and can allow the ram to extend
up to 5/8 in. (16 mm) per hour. It is good practice to lower all cutting units completely
when the machine will be parked for more than two hours.
If any of the lift arms show signs of leakdown in excess of 5/8 in. (16 mm) per hour the
associated cartridge should be replaced. Blocking Cartridges (104-1208) change to
Cartridge Kit (104-9341). The installation of Cartridge Kit (104-9341) requires that the
ECU be upgraded with software revision 105-8502 or newer. Contact your local
distributor service department for assistance with the software upgrade.
