Flange nut (8) 2. Guard assembly 5. Tighten the flange nuts to secure the brackets to the roll bar (Figure 2). 6. Check the clearance between the hood of the machine and the guard assembly.

3. Use the 2 shoulder bolts, 2 spacers, and 2 flange nuts to attach each latch-arm link to each guard wing (Figure 8). 5. Tighten the flange nuts to secure the brackets to the roll bar (Figure 6). 6. Check the clearance between the hood of the machine and the guard assembly. If the hood of the machine contacts the guard assembly when you open the hood, move the guard assembly higher on the roll bar until the hood no longer contacts the guard assembly. 7. Ensure that all fasteners are tight.

Operation Maintenance Using the Guard Checking the Mesh You can retract the guard wings to allow easy access to the operator platform. Use the latches to secure the sides in the open or closed position (Figure 14). Service Interval: Before each use or daily—Check the mesh for damage. Check the mesh regularly to ensure that it is not frayed or ripped. If the mesh is damaged in any way, replace it immediately. Note: If the latch is not tight enough, tighten the nut on the latch (Figure 15).
