Lubrication
Eachcuttingunithas5greasettings(Figure23)thatmustbe
lubricatedregularlywithNo.2general-purposelithium-base
grease.
Thereare2lubricationpointsonthefrontroller,rearroller,
and1atthereelmotorspline.
Note:Lubricatingcuttingunitsimmediatelyafter
washinghelpspurgewateroutofbearingsandincreases
bearinglife.
1.Wipeeachgreasettingwithacleanrag.
2.Applygreaseuntilcleangreaseisseencomingoutof
rollersealsandbearingreliefvalve.
3.Wipeexcessgreaseaway.

1.Turnbedbaradjusterscrewscounterclockwisetoback
thebedknifeawayfromreel(Figure24).
