LubricatingtheCuttingUnits

Eachcuttingunithas5greasettings(Figure22)thatmust

belubricatedregularlywithNo.2lithiumgrease.

Thereare2lubricationpointsonthefrontroller,rearroller,

and1atthereelmotorspline.

Note:Lubricatingcuttingunitsimmediatelyafter

washinghelpspurgewateroutofthebearingsand

increasesbearinglife.

1.Wipeeachgreasettingwithacleanrag.

2.Applygreaseuntilcleangreasecomesoutoftheroller

sealsandthebearingreliefvalve.

3.Wipeanyexcessgreaseaway.

Thenewreelhasalandwidthof1.3to1.5mm(0.050to

0.060inch)anda30degreereliefgrind.

Whenthelandwidthgetslargerthan3mm(0.120inch)wide,

1.Applya30degreereliefgrindonallreelbladesuntil

thelandwidthis1.3mm(0.050inch)wide(Figure23
