Improperuseormaintenanceofthisequipmentcan
resultininjuryordeath.Toreducethepotentialfor
injuryordeath,complywiththefollowingsafety
instructions.
Read,understand,andfollowallinstructionsinthe
tractionunitOperator’sManualbeforeoperatingthecutting
unit.
Read,understand,andfollowallinstructionsinthis
Operator’sManualbeforeoperatingthecuttingunit.
Neverallowchildrentooperatethetractionunitor
cuttingunits.Donotallowadultstooperatethetraction
unitorthecuttingunitswithoutproperinstruction.Only
trainedoperatorswhohavereadthisOperator’sManual
shouldoperatethecuttingunits.
Neveroperatethecuttingunitswhentired,ill,orunder
theinuenceofdrugsoralcohol.
Keepallshieldsandsafetydevicesinplace.Ifashield,a
safetydevice,oradecalisillegibleordamaged,repairor
replaceitbeforeresumingoperation.Also,tightenany
loosenuts,bolts,andscrewstoensurethatthecutting
unitisinsafeoperatingcondition.
Alwayswearsubstantial,slip-resistantfootwear.Always
wearlongpants.Wearingsafetyglassesandsafetyshoes
isadvisableandrequiredbysomelocalordinancesand
insuranceregulations.
Tiebacklonghair.Donotwearjewelry.
Removealldebrisorotherobjectsthatmightbepicked
upandthrownbythereelbladesofthecuttingunit.Keep
allbystandersawayfromtheworkingarea.
Ifthecuttingbladesstrikeasolidobjectortheunit
vibratesabnormally,stopandshuttheengineoff.Check
thecuttingunitfordamagedparts.Repairanydamage
beforestartingandoperatingthecuttingunit.
Lowerthecuttingunitstotheground,settheparking
brake,shuttheengineoff,andremovethekeyfrom
theignitionswitchwheneveryouleavethemachine
unattended.
Besurethatthecuttingunitsareinsafeoperating
conditionbykeepingnuts,bolts,andscrewstight.
Removethekeyfromtheswitchtopreventaccidental
startingoftheenginewhenservicing,adjusting,orstoring
themachine.
Performonlythosemaintenanceinstructionsdescribedin
thismanual.Ifmajorrepairsareeverneededorassistance
isdesired,contactanAuthorizedToroDistributor.
Toensureoptimumperformanceandcontinuedsafety
certicationofthemachine,useonlygenuineToro
replacementpartsandaccessories.Replacementparts
andaccessoriesmadebyothermanufacturerscouldbe
dangerous,andsuchusecouldvoidtheproductwarranty.

danger.Replaceanydecalthatisdamagedorlost.
