LubricatingtheCuttingUnits

Eachcuttingunithas5greasettings(Figure21)thatmustbe

lubricatedregularlywith#2general-purpose,lithium-based

grease.

Thereare2lubricationpointsonthefrontroller,rearroller,

and1atthereelmotorspline.

Note:Lubricatingcuttingunitsimmediatelyafter

washinghelpspurgewateroutofthebearingsand

increasesbearinglife.

1.Wipeeachgreasettingwithacleanrag.

2.Applygreaseuntilcleangreaseisseencomingoutof

rollersealsandbearingreliefvalve.

3.Wipeexcessgreaseaway.
