BeltMaintenance
Checktheconditionandtensionofthealternatorbeltafter
therstdayofoperationandevery100operatinghours
thereafter.
TensioningtheAlternatorBelt
1.Openthehood.
2.Checkthetensionofthealternatorbeltbydepressing
it(Figure70)midwaybetweenthealternatorandthe
crankshaftpulleyswith10kg(22lb)offorce.

Thebeltshoulddeect11mm(7/16inch).Ifthe
deectionisincorrect,proceedtostep3.Ifcorrect,
continueoperation.
3.Loosentheboltsecuringthebracetotheengine
(Figure70),theboltsecuringthealternatortothebrace
andthepivotbolt.
4.Insertaprybarbetweenthealternatorandtheengine
andpryoutonthealternator.
5.Whenyouachievethepropertension,tighten
thealternator,braceandpivotboltstosecurethe
adjustment.
HydraulicSystem
Maintenance
ChangingtheHydraulicFluid
Changehydraulicuidafterevery800operatinghours,in
normalconditions.Ifuidbecomescontaminated,contact
yourlocalTorodistributorbecausethesystemmustbe
ushed.Contaminateduidlooksmilkyorblackwhen
comparedtocleanoil.
1.Stoptheengineandraisethehood.
2.Placealargedrainpanunderthettingsecuredtothe
bottomofthehydraulicuidreservoir(Figure71).

3.Disconnectthehosefromthebottomofthettingand
letthehydraulicuidowintothedrainpan.
4.Installthehosewhenhydraulicuidstopsdraining.
5.Fillthereservoirwithapproximately41.6liters(11
U.S.gallons)ofhydraulicuid;refertoCheckingthe
HydraulicFluid.
Important:Useonlyhydraulicuidsspecied.
Otheruidscouldcausesystemdamage.
6.Installthereservoircap.
7.Starttheengineanduseallofthehydrauliccontrolsto
distributehydraulicuidthroughoutthesystem.Also
checkforleaks.
8.Stoptheengine.
9.Checkthelevelofthehydraulicuidandaddenough
toraiseleveltotheFullmarkonthedipstick.
