Beforeopeninghydraulicsystem,operateallhydrauliccontrolsto
relievesystempressureandavoidinjuryfrompressurizedhydraulic
uid;refertoReleasingPressurefromtheHydraulicSystem(page
6–8).

4.Cleantheendsofthehydraulictubesconnectedtothepistonpumpandoil
lterinlets(Figure88).Disconnecthydraulictubesfrompistonpumpandoil
lterinletttings.Remove2ange-headscrewsthatsecureoillteradapter
toframe.Removeoillterassemblywithhydraulictubefrommachine.
IMPORTANT
Ensurethattheuidowindicatorarrowontheowmeteris
showingthattheuidwillowfromthehydraulictube,throughthe
testerandintothepiston(traction)pump.
5.Installtesterwithpressuregaugeandowmeterinplaceoftheremovedoil
lterassemblyandhydraulictube(Figure88).Connecttesterinlethoseto
thehydraulictube.Connectthetesteroutlethosetothepiston(traction)
pumpinlettting.Ensurethattheowcontrolvalveontesterisfullyopen.
6.Ensurethatthetractionpedalisinneutral,thesteeringwheelisstationary,
andtheparkingbrakeisengaged.
7.Startengineandrunatidlespeed.Checkforanyhydraulicleakagefromtest
connectionsandcorrectbeforeproceedingwithtest.
8.Ensurethatthehydraulicuidisatnormaloperatingtemperatureby
operatingthemachineunderloadforapproximately10minutes.
