2.Afterthehydraulicsystemcomponentshavebeenproperlyinstalledandif
thetractionpumpwasrebuiltorreplaced,ensurethatthetractionpump
housingisatleasthalffullofcleanhydraulicuid.
3.Ensurethatallofthehydraulicconnections,lines,andcomponentsare
securedtightly.
Note:Flushandllthehydraulicsystemandtankwheneverthereisa
severecomponentfailureorthesystemiscontaminated;refertoFlushing
theHydraulicSystem(page6–147).
4.Ensurethatthehydraulictankisfull.Addcorrectquantityofhydraulicuidif
necessary;refertotheOperator’sManual.
5.Checkthecontrollinkageforproperadjustment,binding,ordamagedparts.
6.Primethehydraulicpumps;refertoPrimingtheHydraulicPumps(page
6–146).

Beforeliftingthemachinewithajack,reviewandfollowJacking
Instructions(page1–6).
7.Liftandsupportthemachinewithjackstandssothatallthedrivewheels
areofftheground.
CAUTION
Ensurethatthemachineissafelysupportedsothatitdoesnotmove
oraccidentallyfallandpreventinjuringanyoneunderthemachine.
8.EnsurethatthetractionpedalisintheNEUTRALposition.Starttheengine
andrunitatlow-idlespeed.
Note:Thehydraulicpumpsmustpickupthehydraulicuidandllthe
hydraulicsystem.Ifthereisnoindicationofllin30seconds,shutoffthe
engineandndthecause.
9.Afterthehydraulicsystemstartstoshowthesignsofll,actuatejoystick
switchesuntiltheliftcylinderrodmovesinandoutseveraltimes.
10.Iftheliftcylinderdoesnotmoveafter3to5secondsorifthepumpemits
abnormalsounds,shutofftheengineimmediately,andndthecauseor
problem.Inspectforthefollowing:
A.Theoillterorsuctionlinesthatareloose.
B.Anincorrecthoserouting.
C.Thesuctionlinethatisblocked.
D.Thechargereliefvalveinthetractionpumpthatisdamaged.
E.Thegearpumpthatisdamaged.
11.Aftertheliftcylindermovesnormally,proceedtostep12.
12.Turnthesteeringwheelinbothdirectionssothatthesteeringcylindersmove
inandoutseveraltimes.
13.Operatethetractionpedalintheforwardandreversedirections.Thedrive
wheelsshouldrotateintheproperdirection.Ifthewheelsrotateinthe
wrongdirection,shutofftheengine,inspectthehydrauliclineplacementat
